A notice of infraction was issued to the owner of a vehicle illegally parked in a handicap spot on Washington Street at 1:05 p.m. July 23. Police had warned the driver not to park in the handicap spot the day before.

Police issued a notice of infraction to a driver at 8:57 p.m. July 23 for traveling 41mph in a 25mph speed zone on San Juan Avenue.

A driver was issued a notice of infraction at 3:43 p.m. July 24 for driving with studded tires and no proof of insurance. The vehicle had a brake light out and was parked on the wrong side of the street.

A notice of infraction was issued to the driver of a vehicle traveling 48mph in a 30mph speed zone at 10:05 p.m. July 24 on Haines Place.

A notice of infraction was issued to a driver at 4 p.m. July 25 for traveling 40mph in a 25mph speed zone on Howard Street.

Jay A. Baker, 56, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. July 26 for threatening people around him while banging on rocks near the reporting party’s vehicle parked on Taylor Street. He was transported to jail.

An employee at a store on Sims Way notified police at 1 p.m. July 27 a theft had occurred July 23. Items valued at approximately $80 were taken. The make, model and license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle was given to police. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

A large RV was reported to be blocking Water Street at 5 p.m. July 27 at Filmore Street. When officers arrived on scene, it appeared the driver of the 38-foot RV tried to make a turn out of a driveway and the passenger-side wheels fell into the ditch then the RV got hung up on the curb and could not move. A tow truck was called to pull the RV back onto the road. There was minor damage to the vehicle.

Sarah M. Miles, 21, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. July 28 for vehicle prowl, theft and trespass after she entered a towing company storage lot and attempted to remove items from a vehicle that was located in an unlocked area at the storage lot. She was transported to jail.

Police responded to a business at 2:45 p.m July 28 on Kearney Street where it was reported a man was yelling and screaming at people and being verbally aggressive with another man who was holding a sign with the words “I Love Food.” The two men were arguing over who gets the corner to panhandle. Officers were called an hour later to return to the area where the suspect had nailed signs to a pole that read “To lazy to stand here. Drop money in the bucket.” The signs were removed.

Logan A. Reimann, 23, was arrested for malicious mischief at 11 p.m. July 29. The suspect had been seen staggering between yards on Monroe Street, bumping into cars and staggering into the street. The suspect began removing his clothes and it was reported that he damaged some property at a local business. Reimann was taken to the hospital for evaluation then transported to jail.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a resident’s front porch 11:55 a.m. July 29. The reporting party said the bike was a blue Sekai with a yellow and orange decal. The bike had two flat tires and the thief used a bike pump also on the porch to inflate the tires then rode away. The bike was valued at $150.
