The Port Townsend Police Department responded to 149 calls between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2.
The PTPD had 21 traffic-related calls, as well as 10 welfare checks and 13 animal-related calls.
Calls such as domestic violence and suicides are left out of the call log, so as not to retraumatize victims and loved ones.
Sept. 27: An individual was bitten by a stranger’s dog, causing minor injuries to their hand. Officers investigated the incident.
Sept. 30: An officer responded to a residence in the early morning to take a stolen vehicle report. It was reported the vehicle was last seen the night before, and was missing when the resident woke up. The vehicle has been entered into a national database as stolen.
• An unknown individual entered the boat yard and cut several portholes out of a boat that’s sitting on land.
• A bicyclist was riding along Alder Street when they were stung by a bee. The sting resulted in the bicyclist crashing, sustaining some injuries and being transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Oct. 1: A lost wallet was reported, pale blue in color, made out of woven suede, and approximately 10 inches long. Keep your eyes out, and if you find it, please take it to the Port Townsend Police Department.
Oct. 2: Officers responded to an audible commercial burglary alarm call and found an open door. They searched the building, and found it was secure with no one inside.
