The Port Townsend Police Departments responded to 170 calls between March 16 and March 22. Among those calls were 2 911 calls, 2 reports of harassment, 3 noise complaints, 2 reports of theft and 37 traffic stops. Some of the incidents included the following:

A male suspect was arrested after an officer on foot patrol near the Howard/Rainier Street roundabout found a camp and a nearby tree painted with graffiti at 11:45 a.m. on March 16. The suspect was in possession of three carts belonging to the Port of Port Townsend. Each cart is valued at $310. The suspect was booked for theft, reckless burning and littering. He was transported to jail.

A driver of a motorhome was stopped on Sims Way at 7 p.m., March 16 and found to be driving without a license, without insurance and for failing to transfer the title of the vehicle within 15 days.

At about 11:30 a.m. on March 17, a male suspect was arrested after he and another male were observed throwing a bicycle around and hitting one another on Washington Street. Medical aid was called to evaluate one of the males, who had suffered a facial injury. The assault was determined to be in self-defense, and one of the subjects was arrested and transported to jail.

A motorist was issued a notice of infraction for negligent driving at 12:30 a.m., March 18, after officers responded to an area on Spruce Street where juveniles had crashed a vehicle into the cemetery gate. Other vehicles had been “high-centered” on logs in the area. The juveniles were driving on a city trail that has “No Motorized Vehicles” signs posted on it. One other vehicle was towed.

Male suspects were seen driving a vehicle on a trail designated as a foot path near Battery Way at 9:40 a.m., March 18. It appeared they were filming a video. Police discovered one of the male subjects was wanted on a warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to jail.
