Once again, local poets will be gathering to read their poetry, share their favorite poet’s works, or share the lyrics of a song they’ve written. Cafe Tenby will be host to poetry readings on the third Friday of every month.
“We are very excited,” said organizer Leticia Huber.
Since the pandemic, these poetry readings were forced onto a virtual platform, taking place over Zoom for over a year.
Friday, June 18 will be the first time the poetry reading group has been able to gather in-person.
The group will meet at 2 p.m. in the cafe’s back patio outdoors.
“It’s going to be fantastic,” Huber said, ready to enjoy the readings in-person again.
When asked what she was most excited about, she said with a laugh “The cookies!”
“If you yourself like poetry or writing songs and you would like to join us, you are invited,” she added.
Everyone is welcome.
