A 21-year-old Port Townsend man was driving a 1998 Honda CRX north on San Juan Avenue at 6:43 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 5 when the engine quit. When he pulled it off the street, according to East Jefferson Fire Rescue, the car burst into flames. Responding firefighters extinguished the blaze. The driver was unhurt; the car was totaled.
