Protesters gathered outside the Wells Fargo bank branch in Port Townsend Saturday, Feb. 11 to show support for a resistance movement against the Dakota Assess Pipeline (DAPL), which would go under the Missouri River. Wells Fargo is one of the investors in the project, and some people are urging customers to remove their money from Wells Fargo as a form of protest against the company’s involvement. There were protests last fall as well in front of Wells Fargo in Port Townsend. JPMorgan Chase also has invested in the project. President Donald Trump directed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to move the project forward.
