Jefferson Healthcare is celebrating its employees the entire month of September and will hold a “Honk for Healthcare” parade Thursday.
The public is invited to join the 15-minute car parade around the hospital campus, planned for noon Thursday, Sept. 23.
The parade will encourage and support healthcare workers, and community members can drive a car, ride a bike, skateboard, scooter, or walk around the Jefferson Healthcare campus.
Signs, songs, and other activities are encouraged to show healthcare workers they are appreciated.
Hospital officials said September has been particularly straining on its employees due to “increased COVID activity, higher-than-average patient volumes throughout the hospital, and community divisiveness around the vaccine and masks.”
