How many dollars of the criminal and civil penalties leveled against the Sackler family and Purdue Pharma will go to help grandparents who find themselves raising their grandchildren (and, sometimes, great-grandchildren) because the parents are struggling with addiction?
These grandparents work hard to ensure their grandchildrens’ safety and welfare. It’s time to acknowledge and help with this “collateral” damage.
