Melodies ancient enough to make a century ago seem relatively recent came pouring forth from the Littlefield Green as musicians young and old took to the Fiddle Tunes stage.
Traditional Irish music, including 600-year-old songs, were followed by the more modern 101-years-young ditties of Western swing, with Cajun dancing rounding out a full Friday night.
Then, for the finale on Saturday, Southerners charmed with banjos, bluegrass, and Bayou tunes. Toddlers, teens, and agile elders couldn’t help but shake a leg or two.
