Olympic Community Action Programs is seeking artists or artist teams to develop permanent artworks for the 7th Haven affordable housing project in Port Townsend.
The project is under construction and when open in early 2023 will provide 43 new rental apartments for low-income residents.
OlyCAP, the developer of 7th Haven, is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping people build resilient communities by providing equitable access to opportunities in housing, adult, child and family services, healthcare, employment, and job training. The nonprofit is looking for emerging and established artists to create site-specific and highly visible artworks to beautify and enliven the project and streetscape.
The call for artists is open to those living or working in Washington.
Artists are asked to submit statements of interest based on past art experience, and the nonprofit is not looking for artwork proposals at this phase of the 7th Haven project.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Monday, May 9.
For more information on the call for artists, contact OlyCAP at 360-385-2571.
