“Everything in this show is absolutely pointless, and that’s the point,” said Danny Milholland in his introduction to Port Townsend acrobatic troupe Nanda, which performed a show, “Omdigahben,” on Saturday, June 3 to an all-ages enthusiastic crowd that packed Fort Worden’s McCurdy Pavilion.
Nanda members Misha Fradin, Chen Pollina and brothers Tomoki and Kiyota Sage did backflips, juggled and performed a whole slew of comedy sketches, which garnered lots of laughter and applause from appreciative fans and friends. A “Not Live From Facebook” act brought Pollina into the audience and backstage as he chatted with audience members and crew, filming the entire thing on an iPhone (and broadcasting it on a large screen).
