Aurora Loop Gallery will be open late, Saturday, October 5, from 5-8 PM for “Silent Interiors”
featuring the work of Anne Hirondelle. Regular gallery hours are Thursday - Sunday, noon to 5 PM.
Anne Hirondelle’s bold collages incorporate tracing paper, sandpaper, Swedish fabric and mesh. She has explored texture and light along with form and structure. She is also introducing new sculptures made from cardboard and wood.
Hirondelle's work witnesses decades of evolution that began with simple clay vessels. She makes visual alliterations that create harmonious layers and forms. "Hirondelle has innovated traditional, transcending boundaries, finding and layering new ways of expression that defy categorization," said Kathleen Garrett.
Silent Interiors is at once the culmination of everything Hirondelle has done to date as she explores uncharted territory.
Hirondelle has exhibited nationally in one-person and group shows including: New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Scottsdale and Seattle.
