Winifred N.M. MacNair passed away January 14, 2017 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of Alexander Cameron Mann and Winifred Oldham Diller Mann. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Penn. spending weekends at her grandfather Bishop Mann's home.

She married the love of her life, Hugh A.W. (Sandy) MacNair in 1952 on Long Island. They made the up bringing of their four children a lesson in how to be excellent parents and gave truth and substance to the term "true friend."

She received her degree in Sociology from Smith College and was a successful business woman in a time when that was the exception. A love of family, friends and church knit a rich and loving life that nurtured all who knew her.

MacNair and Julia M. MacNair. She is also survived by her brother Peter C. Mann. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Humane Society of Jefferson County, The Port Townsend Marine Science Center or Smith College.
