Lacey, Wash.

Sept. 23, 1934 – Dec. 30, 2016

Marilyn Joan (Hensley) Linden, age 82, of Lacey, Wash. passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016. She was born to Clyde and Carolyn Hensley in Everett on Sept. 23, 1934, and graduated from Everett High School in 1952.

Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who also adored her golden retriever, Meg. Throughout her life, she loved to knit, read, boat, camp, travel, spend time with friends and family, and volunteer at her church, St. Germain’s Episcopal Church in Hoodsport, Wash. She found joy in the little things, such as taking a ride to see Christmas lights, watching the hummingbirds at her feeder, working a crossword or jigsaw puzzle, and listening to the neighborhood children as she sat in her back yard.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William C. Linden; sons Steve Linden (Carol) of Maricopa, Ariz., and Tom Linden (Lorna) of Tumwater, Wash.; daughter Lori O’Neill (Bob) of Wasilla, Alaska; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother Dale Hensley (Lorrie) of Hayden, Idaho.

She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
