Frederick J. Fields passed away of natural causes in Sierra Vista, Ariz. on Dec. 20, 2016. Frederick was born Feb. 20, 1927 in Fort Mills, Corregidor Island, Phillipines to Troy Fields and Grace Doughty-Fields. He married Cecilia (Pete) Stromberg at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Townsend.
Fred was a lifelong Civil Services employee, working for the U.S. Army from 1943 to retirement in 1981. He and his family lived in many different countries and settled in Sierra Vista, Ariz. for the last 44 years.
Fred was a proud P.T.H.S. Redskin, graduate class of 1945. He was active in little league coaching and a lifetime member of the Elks Club.
Fred is survived by his wife Cecilia; sons Frederick and Robert; daughter Joan Wright; brother Clarence Fields; and sister Betty Fields-Grewell. Fred will truly be missed by his loving family and friends.
