Edith Anglin Addie

Edith Anglin Addie passed away at San Juan Villa of natural causes on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the age of 91. A graveside service was held on Dec. 3 at the Laurel Grove Cemetery with Rev. Carl Hanson officiating.
Mrs. Addie was born in Quilcene, Wash. on July 20, 1925 to Frank and Mary Weixel-Hendrickson. She received her education from Quilcene schools. She married Boyd Anglin on June 25, 1941. They were wed 33 years until Boyd's death in 1974. Edith later married Walter Addie on Jan. 10, 1976 and were wed 27 years until Walter's death in 2003.
Edith enjoyed working in her yard and vegetable garden that she planted every year until her health prevented her from getting outdoors as much as she liked. During the '50s and '60s she worked at the Palms Cafe in Port Townsend but her real passion was being a housewife and mother. Her home was always the base for family get-togethers, especially during the holidays. She took pride in being a life member of TOPS.
Survivors include daughters Judith Erickson of De Pere, Wisc.; Virginia Tomlinson of Port Angeles, Wash.; Janice Chute of Port Townsend; and son Doug (Ellen) Anglin of Chimacum, Wash.
Also surviving is a sister, Barbara Wilbur of Port Angeles, and brothers Walter Hendrickson of Forks, Wash. and Ralph (Bud) Hendrickson of Salem, Ore. Mrs. Addie is also survived by eight grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several great-stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and two stepchildren.
