Obituary: Cecil Clinton Hall

August 11, 1928 – November 30, 2018 On November 30, 2018 at 90 years old, Cecil Clinton Hall passed away peacefully from complications from diabetes and pneumonia in Port Townsend. Cecil was born August 11, 1928 in Molala, Oregon to Clinton Hall and Muriel Hall Lowrie. He graduated from Chimacum High School in 1947 with only 12 other graduates. Cecil married Patricia Yuhl in September 1949 and raised their two sons in Port Townsend. He lost his wife Patricia in 1989. Cecil worked at the Crown Zellerbach paper mill, for Hamton Brown at Service Electric as an apprentice electrician, and for the IBEW #46 Electricians Union where he became a journeyman electrician until he retired in 1990. Cecil married Elaine Hansen in June 1992 and moved to Port Ludlow where they were very active in their church, Grace Christian Center with Pastor Kevin Hunter. He spent his leisure time camping, fishing, playing his accordion, remodeling his home, woodworking, coin collecting, dancing at the Elks Lodge and the Oddfellow’s Hall, playing pinochle, enjoying his church and family and friends. Cecil was a lifetime member of the BPOE #317 Elks Lodge where he was the Exaulted Ruler in 1965-66 and was a Recycled Exaulted Ruler again in 1977-78. He also helped organize and was an active participant with the Elks Wapiti Nomads Trailer Club in Port Townsend. Cecil is survived by his wife Elaine, sons Tommy (Cindy) and Michael (Vivian), brother Walter and sisters Alvalee and Dorothy. He had five grandsons, Donovan (Karen), Darrell, Ian (Stephanie), Kyle and Max and two great grandsons Carter and Colin. He also had five step children Doug, Jonette, David, Pamela (Dean)and Kathy (George) with eight step grandchildren and fifteen step great grandchildren along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Cecil‘s life will be remembered during a celebration of life potluck at the Elks Lodge at 555 Otto St., Port Townsend on January 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. All friends and family are invited to attend.
