At 2:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, a caller reported that a man in the 600 block of Thomas Street was refusing to leave. While officers were en route, the caller said the man had been persuaded to leave, and that they no longer needed help. The caller said they’d call again if anything changed.

At 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, a caller from Safeway said a car prowl had just happened. The man, who had been checking car doors, took off for McDonald’s and circled the parking lot.

Officers contacted the man, who admitted to trying some door handles, but was ultimately unsuccessful. The man was found to have an outstanding warrant, and was transported to and booked into the county jail.

At 6:22 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, a man called to say his friend’s ex-girlfriend was outside screaming and wouldn’t leave.  She was also trying to damage a car.  The caller said he would try to separate the broken-up couple.

Officers arrived and told the woman she was not welcome on the premises. It was discovered that the ex-boyfriend had a warrant out for his arrest. He promised to turn himself in the following day.

At 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, a woman in the 1200 block of Hancock Street called to report a fraud. She said she called to open an account at a bank, but was told an account was already open in her name.

She said she had not opened the account, and she wanted a case number from the police to close the account, per the bank’s request. She said she would be working on the issue with a case worker.
