New tech solution may help Anderson Lake | Letter to the editor

As a relatively recent transplant to PT, I soon discovered the sad condition of Anderson Lake.

Recently my family in Ohio forwarded an article about a much larger lake in our county plagued by the same algal overgrowth as Anderson Lake which was healed by a new technology.

This technology is relatively inexpensive, easy to administer and highly successful. That lake is Chippewa Lake and now supports fishing, swimming, and boating. I have contacted that company, BlueGreenTechnologies which is interested in considering Anderson Lake as a project. I have also contacted the state of Washington with mixed response.

This is a hidden gem among us and worthy of our TLC. Healing Anderson Lake would help our ecology and environment but add another remarkable asset to our already remarkable region.
