The Hood Canal Bridge will be closed to regular traffic at night from Tuesday, June 6 through Thursday, June 8 as work resumes on replacing light fixtures on the bridge.
The bridge will be shut down from from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. on June 6, June 7, and June 8.
Emergency services will have access to the bridge during the closures, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Nighttime closures for work on the center lock system on the Hood Canal Bridge are scheduled to restart at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 10.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic until 10 a.m. Sunday, June 11.
The bridge will be shut down so contractor crews can continue working on the bridge’s center lock mechanism.
State officials said the reinstallation of the bridge’s pyramid wrapped up early on the morning of Sunday, May 21, prompting the state to cancel the shutdowns of the span that had been planned for May 22 through May 24.
