‘A Wrinkle in Time’ 2017 Showcase at Northwind

Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St., exhibits student artwork inspired by Madeleine L’Engle’s classic novel, “A Wrinkle in Time,” in a show opening during Art Walk, Saturday, March 4.

Students from Port Townsend School District's OCEAN K-12 program and the Compass Rose Learning Collective have been exploring the book through art and theater this winter, including a collaborative class at Port Townsend School of the Arts (PTSA), taught by artist and teacher Dana Weir.

OCEAN is also presenting a theatrical version of “A Wrinkle in Time,” opening on March 10 in the Blue Heron School Commons.

Northwind is also presenting the fourth annual Artist Showcase 2017 this month.

Last chance to see 'Quilting Memories'

Jefferson Museum of Art & History, 540 Water St., is wrapping up its “Quilting Memories” show on March 12. The museum is to be open for art walk.

Also during Art Walk, Jefferson County Historical Society archivist Marsha Moratti is to be signing copies of the exhibit catalog, which has been produced as a book.

'Spring Is Coming' to PT Gallery

The Port Townsend Gallery, 715 Water St., is to present “Spring Is Coming” for this month’s Art Walk. This all-gallery show features members displaying their interpretations of the spring theme.

Mediums include watercolors, oils, photographs, fibers, pottery, ceramics, leather, jewelry, assemblies, metal, wood, mixed media and block prints. Members are to be present at an opening reception during Art Walk to discuss their art and the methods used.

'Lost at She' at NWMC

Northwest Maritime Center, 431 Water St., presents “Lost at She: A Feminist Compass,” featuring nautical work by artists Chandler O'Leary and Jessica Spring.
