Community Read wraps up this week with two events featuring “Before the Wind” author Jim Lynch.
“Author! Author!” – an evening salon with Lynch and Port Townsend author Erica Bauermeister – is planned for Sunday, March 26.
The fundraiser for Friends of the Port Townsend Library and Northwind Arts Center takes place 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St. The event includes hors d’oeuvres by chef Arran Stark, wine and beer.
Lynch and Bauermeister are to discuss “Before the Wind,” and Northwind Arts Center currently is hosting an art exhibit inspired by the themes of this year’s Community Read, titled “Wind & Water.” Tickets for the salon are available at brownpapertickets.com/event/2866175.
On Monday, March 27, there is a free “Meet the Author” event with Jim Lynch. The talk and reading is set for 7-8:30 p.m. at the Port Townsend High School auditorium, 1500 Van Ness St. A book signing follows, with books for sale at the event.
