The Fife woman reported missing early last week was found dead late Friday north of Crocker Lake.

Barbara J. Fraley was reported missing and endangered Thursday, Jan. 28.

A Jefferson County deputy found her car on the side of the road while on routine patrol Tuesday, Feb. 2.

The discovery of her vehicle prompted a multi-day search by Jefferson County Search and Rescue volunteers and deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Her vehicle was found parked and disabled in the 600 block of Fuller Road with no one around it. K-9 units from Kitsap County Search Dogs, a search-and-rescue unit, were brought in to search for the missing woman.

The sheriff's office reported Friday night that Fraley's body was found in thick brush near Fuller Road. Detective Jon Stuart discovered her location while conducting additional drone flights in the area Feb. 5.

Detectives believe Fraley likely succumbed to the elements soon after her arrival.
