Mike Newton passed away after a battle in ICU at Virginia Mason Hospital.
Mike was born Dec. 6 1963 in Wisconsin to John and Darlene Newton.
He leaves behind his wife, Melanie, and five children Holly, Taylor Downing, Coltan, Hunter and Gabby.
He leaves one grandchild, Winter Frojen; father; sister, Chris Newton; nieces and nephews; in-laws Harold and Debbie Owens; Mike had worked with the Seattle Times for over 30 years and enjoyed his customers and friends he met along the way. He would greet you with “How you doing buddy?” He was preceded in death by his mom; and his brother, Josh.
A memorial is planned 2 p.m. April 27 at Fred Lewis Scout cabin 3075 Discovery Road in PT.
Everyone is invited to help the family celebrate Mike’s life. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Chase Bank to help with his final expenses in care of Melanie Newton.
