'Midday Storytime for Grownups’ coming soon

Posted

Jefferson County Toastmasters will feature two of their club’s best storytellers during the club’s next meeting.

The meeting is noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24 and the program is “Midday Storytime for Grownups.”

Jean McDonald of Port Angeles will present “Misjudged,” a story about jumping to wrong conclusions on a dairy farm.

Claudia Dubuque, a Port Townsend resident who lives and works aboard the sailboat she shares with her husband, will tell a tale from the sea.

The event also includes Cathy Thomas from Quimper Story Telling Guild in an online presentation.

Thomas, a founding member of the Quimper Story Telling Guild of Port Townsend, will regale with a tale from her vast repertoire.

After the featured speakers, there will be time for telling brief, improvised stories.

Visitors will be invited to participate during this portion of the event — or simply sit back, listen, and enjoy.

The program is a free, online only event. Register at https://storytelling_jefferson_county_tm.eventbrite.com to receive the link to attend via Zoom.

For more information, contact McDonald at 360-789-7691 or go to Jeffco.ToastmastersClubs.org.
