Men of all voice types and abilities are invited to join the men's chorale Singers in the Rain for its 2016-17 season.
Now in its seventh year, the chorale – under the direction of Hazel Johnson with vocal instruction by Sydney Keegan – is currently composed of a 10-member group of men who receive weekly training in vocal and reading skills while preparing for a late-spring performance as part of Trinity United Methodist Church's Candlelight Concert series.
A $50 monthly tuition includes all the extra private help each singer might need in order to fully participate. Classes are held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in Port Hadlock starting Sept. 6 at the home of Johnson and her tenor husband, Jeff.
To join, singers can set up an appointment with Keegan at 379-4735 to assess voice type and determine what section best fits each singer's voice. All levels of ability are welcome to join, and there is no charge for the appointment.
