A memorial service for Mac Wheeler is set for 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 6 at the Northwest Maritime Center, with a reception following at 2 p.m. at the Commander’s Beach House Bed-and-Breakfast at Point Hudson. Root-beer floats and banana cream chocolate-bottom pie, favorites of Mr. Wheeler, will be served.
