Lorna Smith will be a wonderful county commissioner.
Lorna is a highly effective leader with extensive experience as a business owner, conservationist and member of the Jefferson County Planning Commission. Lorna was instrumental in the establishment of the Protection Island National Wildlife Refuge. She has also served on the Washington State Economic Development Board.
Lorna recently authored the indoor-only gun range ordinance for Jefferson County, resolving a contentious issue for our community.
Lorna is respected as a fair-minded, compassionate person, who will represent and advocate for everyone in our county. Lorna’s achievements are many and yet she is a humble person.
Folks who have worked with Lorna for many years speak highly of her. That shows she can be trusted and that she is authentic in her work with other people. Lorna Smith has my highest recommendation as our new county commissioner.
