Loren Adam Krieger 92, of Port Townsend, Washington passed away peacefully on Jan. 29, 2022. Loren was born in Yakima, Washington, and moved with his mother Freda to Port Townsend when he was 2 years old. He graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1947. He entered the Navy and was stationed on the Brinkley Bass where he sailed all over the world until he was honorably discharged on June 22, 1950.

Loren worked as a fireman in Port Townsend, manning the phones and driving the fire trucks until he retired after 33 years of service.

Loren lived a life of service. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and was their commander of this club for a number of years. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club. He donated 1,197 hours to build the Elks Club and he was noted for starting the Thursday night fish and chips which he successfully cooked for 15 years.

Loren married Phyllis Jean Williams in 1952. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1955. He married Delsie McGinnis Wimberley on Aug. 7, 1962. She had four children: Tollie Gray of Olathe, Kansas; Paula Stove (husband Tom) of Medical Lake, Wash.; Verna Qualls (husband Rick) of Bellingham, Wash.; and Cordie Wimberley (wife Tina) of Springfield, Missouri. Delsie preceded him in death on Sept. 1, 1972. He married Mary Ernestine Morello Gibson on Aug. 22, 1978. She had three children: Robert Gibson (wife Dianne) of Quilcene, Wash.; Joanne Gilles (husband Greg) of Port Ludlow, Wash.; and Jeannie Cossett (husband Pete) of Bellingham, Wash. Ernestine preceded him in death on May 24, 2010. He also had 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Loren is survived by his brother, Howard Scott (wife Roberta) of Port Townsend, Wash.; sister, Linda Brooks (husband Roy) of Enumclaw, Wash.; Robert Scott (wife Charlene) of Onalaska, Wash.; and two of his siblings that preceded him in death, Leslie Scott and Norine Gastfield.

Loren will have a celebration of life from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Elks Club.
