I’m writing to highlight the great work done by Clallam-Jefferson Pro Bono Lawyers in our community. In 2016, CJCPBL served 856 clients; 558 of those clients are low-income Pro Bono clients (379 in Clallam County, 172 in Jefferson County, seven other counties).

This number includes 66 clients with housing issues, 56 clients with collection/ garnishment/ creditor issues, 203 clients with dissolutions/ custody cases, 89 clients with wills/ estate/ disability matters among others. CJCPBL served clients at 15 drop-in clinics and outreach events in 2016. Volunteer attorneys donated 749 hours to CJCPBL clients.

Wow! As a local lawyer and resident, I’m proud to volunteer with CJCPBL and be of service to my community in this way. Thank you to all of my colleagues who care deeply about closing the justice gap and take time to assist vulnerable families and individuals in our community. Most importantly, though, thank you to all of our clients.

If you want to know more about CJCPBL or need legal assistance, please contact us at 360-504-2422 or probonolawyers@gmail.com.
