In regards to Gene Farr’s letter to the editor (Leader, June 12); it’s unfortunate that conservatives generally, and republicans specifically, have become the anti-science bloc in American politics.
Nearly everything that Mr. Farr wrote regarding evidence that climate change isn’t happening, or human caused, is nonsense. Certainly not based in scientific facts.
There is an absolute consensus among climate scientists that climate change is happening, it’s mainly caused by fossil fuel use,it’s speeding up, and will endanger our civilization in the 21st century.
So either these reputable scientists are part of a grand conspiracy or conservatives in our country are unwilling or unable to engage in factual science-based reality.
Delusional might be the best word to describe this behavior.
I say let’s vote with the facts in 2020.
