LETTER: Trump: Dangerous globally, nationally

We have a constitution that guarantees our rights to certain freedoms. I am proud of those who stand up for these rights: protesters, press, Democrats in Congress, the justice system and individuals who write letters to newspapers. Your courage is what makes this country great.

Caesar was quoted as saying, in reference to the masses, “Give them bread and entertainment.” With the present administration, all the American people have seen so far is the circus. Isn’t it a waste of taxpayer money to pay a man whose work ethic includes staying up at night and tweeting tantrums in the early morning hours?

Trump paints anyone who gets in his way as an enemy. He devalues the underpinnings of our constitution because the checks and balances keep him from having absolute power. He perseverates on so-called fake news put out by others when the head perpetrator of Fake News International is Trump himself.

He lies, exaggerates, deflects and attempts to intimidate. All these tactics are right out of a dictator’s playbook.

He has been in office only a little over a month; I seems like 10 years. He has replaced what he calls “the swamp” with a cesspool of bigotry and kleptocrat billionaires who are going to rip off this country big time to line their own pockets.

His words and actions during the campaign and now in the White House qualify him for several personality disorders listed by the American Psychiatric Association. If you doubt this, do the research and see for yourself. This is the big GOP elephant in the living room that Republicans like to carefully walk around.

The greatest threat to our national security, in my opinion, is Trump himself. He is incompetent, and this is what makes him dangerous nationally and globally. He needs to go.
