Letter: Southern hospitality can go a long way

Earlier this month, I was on my way to the bus stop about 7 a.m. As I was entering the corner where Symrna turns into 7th, a vehicle came up behind me. I pulled over to the right to give them some room, and as I did, I ran my power scooter off the road and into a dropoff and flipped my scooter onto its side. I spilled my backpack into a big puddle and pinned my good leg under my scooter. As this was happening, the vehicle that I pulled over for came by. I yelled out for help, but the vehicle just flew right by! What’s up with people up here? You all should spend a week down south and learn what southern hospitality is! I know the person might not have heard my scream, but I don’t think so. TIMOTHY L. MORGAN Irondale
