The laudable immigrant sentiments from the mayor’s office and the many letters to The Leader should receive a concrete response.
Efforts should be made in compiling a list of all citizens willing to house, feed and clothe any immigrant or one of the homeless. The resources available can then be matched to the need, which will result from a declaration of “sanctuary.” This effort could be coordinated through the mayor’s office and a list of all participants published either in The Leader or the monthly letter from the mayor. Contact with our mayor will be made to implement this effort.
I encourage our citizens to show the world our commitment to sanctuary.
