Let’s put a gun range in Port Townsend. Oh wait, too many would say no. How many need to say no? I agree with last week’s letter saying “gun owners have a right to shoot their gun at a target at a gun range but they do not have the right to subject anyone to their secondhand gunshot noise.” How can you decide that you have a right to ruin a smaller number of people’s lives (in the south county or in a rural area of the county) by making them listen to gunfire all day, but yet you agree with a larger group in Port Townsend that it is not OK to ruin their lives?
