LETTER More distressing noises than Growlers

Posted

I agree with the feelings

expressed by the author of a letter

in the Leader, June 21 regarding

the Growler complaints in Port

Townsend, “Let it go.”

I live Uptown and I seldom hear

their noise and have actually never

seen one flying overhead.

Come on, there are more distressing

daily noises when you step

outside, power mowers, leaf blowers,

chainsaws, roofing nail guns,

low flying personal aircraft, Coast

Guard and hospital choppers, float

planes, sirens, gun shots from a

nearby firing range. Besides, someone’s

son or daughter has a pretty

scary job flying a Growler.

Of course, the folks living in Oak

Harbor next to the practice landing

strip may have another viewpoint.

Personally, I’m for putting an end

to those lovesick seals barking from

atop the Point Hudson buoy.
