The greatest gift to every
American is the First Amendment,
detailing the freedom of speech.
Dissension in harmony with
common sense and positive values
is essential for a healthy community,
state and country. These
values are not being followed by
disruptive protesters against the
current administration. We have a
very fragmented nation that needs
healing.
At my “free speech display”
downtown there are many interactions,
some well-informed on
the political situation, and others
not but in reaction without deep
research into the political environment.
The latter represent the
hostility on campuses, cities and
in the media while being unnecessarily
contrary to free speech of
differing viewpoints.
Personally, I am not labeled on
either side, but support whoever is
president until at least midterm
elections. Reactionary, inciteful
protesting, especially from those
not well informed, is counterproductive
and dangerous for the
country.
It’s critical for the bulk of citizens
to “wake up” and become more
informed. Millions are taking the
“agenda-driven” major media and
carefully manipulated news orchestrated
for viewership, as gospel.
The internet, used with discernment,
provides many news source
commentators far more informed
and truthful than all major media.
Anyone is welcome to ask me for a
dozen or more sources who are very
informative and not disingenuous.
The evolvement for a better
world needs everyone’s support as
positive, active input. Mostly be
open, research, get informed and
communicate. Everyone, particularly
“seniors,” needs to give back
in helpful ways.
In the next few days, the first
designed American free speech flag
will be flying at the free speech
display. Your input and support is
appreciated. Let’s encourage peaceful
free expression before we lose
more.
There is a reason why it’s the
First Amendment.
