Leona May Martin passed away peacefully Oct. 24, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Port Townsend, Washington, where she had been a resident for the last 11 years.
She was born in Port Townsend on April 15, 1934 to Cecil V. and Lelah L. (Feldmeier) Martin. She was a 1952 graduate of Port Townsend High School and entered the Women’s Air Force shortly after graduation.
Leona lived in Seattle for many years and returned to Port Townsend when she retired and shared a home with her brother, Bob. Surviving siblings are Edna Mullins, Harold “Bud” (Eileen) and Robert Martin, all of Port Townsend, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty, and brothers Meril, Donald and Edward.
Her cremains will be placed in the Greenwood Cemetary in Chimacum.
Close friends are invited to a family gathering at the Town Point Club House on Dec. 16 from 2-4 p.m.
