The League of Women Voters-Jefferson County encourages members of the public to submit questions for the upcoming Oct. 7 forum for the Port Townsend City Council candidates.
Position 1 candidates Cameron Jones and Ben Thomas will take questions from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by Position 5 candidates Tyler Vega and Libby Wennstrom, who will be answering a different set of questions from 7 to 8 p.m.
Questions should be submitted to lwvjeffcowa@gmail.com no later than noon on Oct. 5.
Concise, unbiased questions will be given priority, and some questions may be combined. Unless directed to a specific set of candidates, questions submitted will be balanced between the two sets of candidates.
Links to the Oct. 7 primary forum, which can be accessed by computer or phone, will be posted on the League’s website at lwvwa.org/Jefferson on Thursday, Sep. 23. Media partner KPTZ 91.9 FM will simulcast the Oct. forum and livestream it at https://kptz.org.
The forum will also be recorded, edited solely for brevity, and eventually linked on the league’s website at lwvwa.org/Jefferson.
