With sadness in their hearts, the family of Lars Thomas share his passing on January 28, 2020, in his home in Port Townsend. He was born in Bellingham, WA on September 19, 1945.
Lars was a loving, kind and generous father, grandfather, brother to five sisters, uncle, and a dear friend to many. His passions included creating beautiful homes and gardens. Particular joy for him was to walk in his garden on each New Year’s Day and find enough in bloom to create a stunning bouquet. He was a consummate host and nurtured his family and friends by preparing wonderful meals.
Lars is survived by his sister, Donna Johnson; daughter, Marnie Thomas; sons, Brandon Thomas and Andrew Green; grandchildren, Makenzi Thomas, Taylor Thomas-Marsh, Quentin Thomas, and Serena Green; step-daughter, Inga Johanson; and step-sons Jim and Mike; and a host of friends.
A celebration of life for Lars will be held in the coming spring when his gardens are in full bloom.
