A juvenile was arrested after he reportedly pulled a knife on another student during a tour at Fort Worden State Park.
According to Port Townsend Police Department Public Information Officer Keppie Keplinger, the arrest occurred at 8:30 p.m. May 15. She told The Leader the students were on a tour when the incident occurred, and no one was injured during the incident.
Keplinger did not have any further information regarding the age or where the juvenile was from or the two people involved knew each other.
"The juvenile had reportedly made suicidal statements," Keplinger stated. "Juvenile services were notified and the subject was transported to the hospital for evaluation and later booked for assault, brandishing a weapon and malicious mischief."
Officers were on scene for multiple hours, Keplinger said.
