Judy Rosella Chrisco

Judy Rosella Chrisco, of Port Townsend, Washington, died at 88 years of age,   in the early morning of August 16, 2017 with her daughter by her side. 

She was born in 1929 in Cashmere Washington to Ernest and Inez Lowell and lived at the families home near Blewitt Pass the first In the 1930’s   Jehovah’s Witnesses called on her parents and they accepted the Bible truths they learned. She grew to love the hope of a restored paradise on earth for us to enjoy as perfect humans forever, and at seventeen became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a dedication she held to the end of her life.

In 1947 she married Homer Dennerline, and in 1951 she gave birth to their only child, Katherine. They lived in the family orchard after remodeling a tiny rustic house on the edge of the Colombia River.

She worked as a phone operator in Wenatchee in the 50’s.   Later she went to college and became an LPN assisting in surgery, at Wenatchee’s Eye and Ear Clinic for many years.

She was a long time ham radio operator and volunteer and was a member of the Apple City Amateur Radio Club assisting with emergency communications during forest fires and other crises. She helped train and test new operators.   Every morning she would go on line with Witnesses all over the West   to discuss the mornings Bible text.  After she was moved by her family to Port Townsend she enjoyed writing letters to those who couldn’t be reached in person in the door to door ministry,   she enjoyed manning the Literature Stand on Water Street, meeting people from all over the world. Judy remained active in the ministry to the last days of her life. 

Judy was loving and appreciative of all of her family and friends and was much appreciated for her cheerful and appreciative disposition. 

Jefferson Healthcare Hospital and the Life Care Center both gave her truly exceptional tender loving care.

Judy is survived by: Her Daughter, Katherine Kozelisky (husband Jaime), Her brother Louie Lowell (wife Pat), her sister Wynona Leake, her stepdaughter Karen Carver, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

  The Memorial of Judy’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 120 Logan Street in Port Townsend, Washington on September 2 at 2:00 pm.
