Judy Bernard Nelson, a resident of Marina del Rey, CA, passed away the evening of July 3, 2017.

Judy was born March 25, 1947 in Bremerton, WA. She grew up in the Port Townsend/Port Ludlow communities and graduated from Chimacum High School in Chimacum, WA in 1964. She worked for Canadian Pacific Airlines several years in Los Angeles as well as Vancouver, Canada.  Judy then worked for Arthur O. Armstrong in his prominent law firm in Century City, attorneys to both corporate and entertainment industries. When Mr. Armstrong took a position as CFO of Merle Norman Cosmetics he brought Judy with him, working with him for a total of 35 years. When he left the company, Judy continued as their Historian and set up an elaborate Museum for the company, retiring November 2012.

Judy and her husband Chuck Nelson enjoyed golf, traveling and cooking for friends & family elaborate gourmet meals!

She is survived by her husband Chuck Nelson, her son, Jeff Raneses of San Clemente, CA, 3 grandchildren, Rosalie, Danielle and Jeffrey Raneses, and five Siblings, Gay Kohn of Rialto, CA, Gary Bernard of Federal Way, WA, Bob Bernard of Oceanside, CA, Karen Willestoft of Alta Loma, CA and Rick Bernard of Mill Creek, WA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Chimacum High School (CHS) Scholarship Fund, Chimacum, WA.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, July 15 at 11:00AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum. Following the graveside, a memorial service will take place at Noon at the Irondale Church, 681 Irondale Road, Port Hadlock, followed by food and drink reception in the church fellowship hall.
