Judith Anne Rudolph, of Port Townsend WA passed away at her home on November 19, 2024 at the age of 77, after a valiant resistance to cancer. Judy grew up in Issaquah, graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in French, later earning a Masters of Library Science. She taught at Clallam Bay public school before moving to Port Townsend in 1977, when she and her family built her current home. Many former students will remember her as the Librarian at Grant Street, Mountain View Elementary, and Blue Heron Middle School through the 1980's and 90's. She was passionate about her job, dedicating her working life to Port Townsend schools and fostering a love of reading in multiple generations of kids.

Judy had deep loves of gardening, travel, and especially traditional dance. She was a regular at local tango gatherings, salsa dances and folk dancing, both practicing and teaching with occasional performances. Her retirement was kept busy taking care of her beloved garden, visiting and traveling with family and loved ones, and volunteering. She spent many years helping ECHHO of Jefferson County as a driver, getting people to their medical appointments. She loved this community dearly.

Her life was defined by a deep and effective care for friends, family, and those around her. She is survived by her grandson Max, her son Dave, his partner Colleen, her longtime partner Dan, as well as brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on January 25th at the Cotton Building at 607 Water St. in Port Townsend. Gathering will begin at noon and the remembrance will start at 1:30 pm.
