April 14, 1960 - September 25, 2018

Former Tri-Area resident, Jeff (Boats) Othoudt, passed away at his home in Bacliff, TX on September 25, 2018 surrounded by his family and his cats.
Jeff was born in a small Minnesota town and joined the United States Navy as a young man. He spent 23 years in the Navy and traveled to every continent, collecting friends, memories and tattoos along the way. In 1991, Jeff and his wife Tammi along with their three children moved to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. For over 20 years, Jeff was a familiar face around town, helping with community events like Hadlock Days and the Chimacum Fire Department’s pancake breakfast. Of course, many will also remember him playing darts or maybe broomstick pool or seeing him cruising around on his Harley.
After the passing of his first wife Tammi, he made his way around the country on his motorcycle and eventually found his home in Texas. He fell in love with the food, the weather and his second love, Cindy. Together they had many adventures, always enjoying life to the fullest.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Othoudt and his wife, Tammi Othoudt.
He is survived by his mother, Glenna Anderson; his brothers Dale Othoudt, Bill Bond and Scott Holt; his wife Cindy Othoudt; his sons Cody Othoudt and Juan Zamora; his daughters Kelsi Othoudt and Gina Brown; his son-in-law Peter Brown; and his grandchildren, Silas, Madelynn, Theodore and Clementine Brown.
There will be a Celebration of Life on November 3rd, 2018 starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Port Townsend located at 555 Otto Street. There will be family, friends, food, laughter, and a Lego table for the kids. If you would like to bring a dish to share you are welcome to. If not, just bring yourselves and a memory to share! Everyone is welcome.
