The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 312 requests for service between Friday, Jan. 20 and Friday, Jan. 27. Below are selected reports.
At 11:48 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20 in Quilcene, a caller reported two junk vehicles that the caller wanted removed from the trailer park.
At 2:02 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 in Port Hadlock, a resident complained of being threatened.
The caller said there was a 50-year-old man who was acting like he was on drugs. He was dressed in camoflauge and was throwing garbage at the neighbors.
The resident said the man threatened to burn down his home and had also threatened to kill him.
The man had long spikes in his hands and was brandishing them like a weapon.
The caller was fearful that the man would carry out his threats and the man said he would stay up all night as a precaution.
The man was later arrested and booked into jail.
At 3:41 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 in Port Ludlow, a caller reported a vehicle had been broken into overnight.
The caller asked for extra patrols in the neighborhood.
Deputies linked the incident to a series of five vehicle break-ins in Port Ludlow over the weekend.
A deputy attempted to contact a suspect in the car prowls, but when the deputy tried to pull him over, he fled from them at a high rate of speed.
He was last seen driving east on Highway 104, and the deputy following the man ended the pursuit.
