The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 228 calls for service between Saturday, Aug. 13 and Friday, Aug. 19. Below are selected reports.

At 8:14 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 in Quilcene, a caller reported a burglary that happened overnight. Three shrimp pots and a weed whacker were taken from a storage shed.

The value of the loss was not noted.

At 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, a woman said her husband had gone to The Brothers but had not checked in. He had checked in at 5:45 p.m. the previous day and he told her he was at the summit.

The woman said she had received a message when he reached the summit that they were on the way down and he would be home late that night.

She said she had not heard from him since.

She did not know what vehicle the hiking party had used to get to the trailhead from Kitsap County, but said her husband was an avid hiker.

The woman called back an hour later and said she had since heard from her husband and everyone was OK.

At 1:59 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 in Brinnon, authorities were notified of a dispute between a man and woman.

A caller said the father of her child and a friend were at the RV park and he had called her a drug addict.

A deputy responded and determined the conflict stemmed from an ongoing dispute over a parenting plan. They were advised to settle the matter through superior court.

At 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 in Port Hadlock, a woman called to report her 65-year-old husband was missing.

She said he had been stung by a bunch of wasps and left to get Benadryl.

A deputy responded and after a search, found the man sleeping in his truck.

He said he had taken Benadryl but then dozed off.
