The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 298 calls for service between Friday, March 24 and Friday, March 31.

At 3:19 a.m. Sunday, March 26 in Chimacum, a resident complained about a neighbor who was having a noisy party. Loud music could be heard and the caller also said someone left dogs inside a vehicle at the party.

A deputy arrived and discovered the music was not very loud.

The people at the party said they would turn down the volume.

At 4:45 a.m. Sunday, March 26 in Port Hadlock, a caller reported being a victim of a dog bite.

The woman said she worked at an animal shelter in Poulsbo and needed stitches to close the wound. An animal control officer contacted her and advised her to report the incident in Kitsap County.

At 1:35 p.m. Sunday, March 26 in Port Hadlock, a woman said she had been in her bathroom five minutes ago when she heard gunshots.

She then discovered someone had shot at her pickup truck and slashed the tires.

A deputy responded and found the truck had been shot three times. One shot shattered the back window of the truck’s canopy. A rear tire on the passenger’s side of the vehicle had also been shot.

A front-end tire on the passenger’s side of the truck and the rear tire on the driver’s side had also been punctured with a knife.

The deputy collected spent shotgun shell casings.

One of the woman’s neighbors reported hearing something that sounded like fireworks, while another neighbor heard three gunshots.

A man and woman were later arrested in the case.

At 10:10 p.m. Sunday, March 26 in Brinnon, a woman who was watching her brother’s home returned to the residence to find all the doors open to the residence. The woman said she would not go inside to see if a burglar was still there. She said she had locked the doors when she had left.

The woman said there had been ongoing issues with unwanted people on the property, and a stranger came onto the land a few days earlier but she would not identify herself.

Deputies checked the home and found nobody inside.

The caller had video of the woman who had been on the property earlier.
