The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 626 calls for service between Friday, April 21 and Friday, May 5. Below are selected reports.
At 4:24 p.m. Thursday, May 4 in Port Hadlock, a woman said she was getting threatening calls from an unknown number.
The woman said the caller was the same person who had harassed her sister with phone calls in 2022.
The man was now calling the sister and making lewd, sexual comments. He also started talking about her outfits and what she had been wearing in the last week.
At 8:11 p.m. Friday, May 5 in Brinnon, a woman said her 34-year-old brother had gone missing.
He left Brinnon at 6 a.m. to go to Walmart, but the woman said she didn’t know if he was going to Shelton or Sequim.
The caller said she had learned her brother was missing from his girlfriend. She tried calling his cell phone but the calls were going to voicemail.
The woman said she was concerned her brother had taken a shortcut through the mountains and went off the road after hitting snow or ice. She was worried he may be hurt.
The man had plans that day to go fishing at Silent Lake after going to buy fishing gear. She spoke to one of his friends, who said he was searching for him on Rocky Brook Road.
At 9:30 p.m., the woman called back and said the missing man had driven up Penny Creek Road and his vehicle got stuck in the snow.
He walked down the mountain until he got cell service, then called someone to come pick him up.
