The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 237 calls for service between Saturday, Sept. 17 and Friday, Sept. 23. Below are selected reports.

At 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Port Ludlow, a theft was reported in the 100 block of Olympus Boulevard.

The caller was currently building a new home and discovered theft of building materials.

The caller said other homes may have also been affected. A suspicious man had been seen earlier walking through the area.

A deputy responded but was unable to find anyone who matched the suspect’s description.

At 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Port Hadlock, a burglary was reported in the 200 block of Chimacum Road.

The lock on a storage unit was cut off, and multiple items were missing. A list of stolen items was created, and the victim provided information about a suspect.

At 10:39 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 in Nordland, a resident in the 300 block of Schwartz Road and said a neighbor drove by and was yelling at the caller, then shared an inappropriate hand gesture.

A deputy contacted the caller but was unable to find anyone who matched the resident’s description.

At 6:37 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 in Port Hadlock, a woman was bitten by a neighbor’s dog.

She said her dog had been on a leash when another dog approached. While trying to keep them apart, the neighbor’s dog lurched forward and bit and scratched her neck. The woman’s skin was not punctured.
